Turn your wedding into the event of the season. Buy or rent one of our unique, heirloom-quality Wedding Labyrinths. From 12-20 feet in diameter, we have a size and motif for every wedding ceremony. Whether you are getting married in the neighborhood chapel or the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria, our hand-crafted Wedding Labyrinths will add world-class beauty to your wedding ceremony.
Created with the same unique design as the Wedding Labyrinth, the Sacred Union Labyrinth is used primarily for anniversaries and to commemorate other important life events that people wish to share. These labyrinths are created using colored velvets, satins and brocade, instead of the predominantly white textiles used in the Wedding Labyrinth. A variety of beautiful centers is also available.
The Personal Healing Labyrinth is used like a ceremonial prayer rug for meditation and deep spiritual work. It comes in a variety of colors, and can be custom created to your requirements. Available in either the Sacred Union pattern or the Heart of Chartres pattern, its rich colors and textures will contribute great beauty and meaning to your life.
Our Heart of Chartres labyrinth pattern provides the inspiration for our Labyrinth Tapestries. These aren't simply decorative wall-hangings. They are tools for calming and focusing the mind as the eyes traverse the circuits of the labyrinth that lead to the center. By repetition, an unconscious engram is formed in your mind to guide you to your inner self. Our Labyrinth Tapestries come in standard and custom sizes, and can be made to order. Call or email to get a brochure with all the details.

What they are:
The Wedding Labyrinth is completely unique. With its two separate entrances, through which the male and female enter from opposite sides, to its sacred central space where they join together, to its single path from which they emerge as one to make public their sacred vows, the Wedding Labyrinth embodies a profoundly moving expression of the inner meaning of the marriage ceremony.
When purchased by the bridal couple, the Wedding Labyrinth becomes a treasured heirloom that can be used over the course of a lifetime to consecrate important events, honor accomplishments, renew commitments, and add a spiritual dimension to special occasions.
How we make them:
Our smallest Wedding Labyrinth is 12 feet in diameter and our largest is 20. Each of our Wedding Labyrinths is constructed of the richest and most beautiful fabrics, with colors that shimmer white, gold, silver, and pearlescent, like the reflection of the moon on the surface of a lake. Our Wedding Labyrinths impart a sense of wonder and mystery to the marriage ceremony.
A velvet casement for storage of the Wedding Labyrinth is included in the cost, so that your labyrinth can be rolled up and stored when not in use. Additional display options are also available at a reasonable cost, including a durable, molded frame to turn your Wedding Labyrinth into a spectacular wall hanging that any fine arts museum would be proud to display.
Extras for you:
When you buy or rent a Wedding Labyrinth, you also get a beautiful description of the meaning of the labyrinth ceremony for inclusion in your wedding program. We can also supply you with a Wedding Ceremony, including processional, greeting, rose exchange, reflection, declaration of intent, pledge of support, vows, blessing, exchange of rings, pronouncement, and recessional.
By special arrangement, the co-founders of Sacred Ground Labyrinths, both of whom are ordained ministers, can perform the Labyrinth Wedding ceremony for you -- a ceremony that has been described as "the most beautiful wedding ceremony I have ever seen" by many who have been privileged to witness it.
By special arrangement, the founder of SGL Virginia Grace an ordained minister///
Labyrinths have emerged organically from many cultures down through the ages. They appear in cathedrals and temples of many religions around the world as a symbol of the sacred, representing the journey of life and the unfolding of the human heart. When we walk the circuits of the labyrinth, we come to our own center, where wholeness and love abide. A labyrinth is different from a maze, because a maze contains false turns and dead ends. But a labyrinth always leads you to the center.
In the Wedding Labyrinth, the Bride and Groom re-enact the journey of life, passing along its circuits with a special awareness of the need to dedicate themselves to unfolding their hearts and upholding their commitment to love one another. As they move through the Labyrinth, a visual poetry is created that will always be remembered for its beauty and meaning. A special feeling emerges from this ritual journey that affects not only the couple, but everyone at the ceremony. The center of the Wedding Labyrinth is where the couple finally meet - to stand upon an ancient and sacred symbol embodying the deepest expression of the human spirit. It is there that they can perform the Rose Ceremony, and share their hearts' truth with one another; They may also choose to take their formal vows at the center of the Wedding Labyrinth. By walking the Wedding Labyrinth, they arrive at the spiritual center of their beings, and thus sanctify the marriage.
The Wedding Labyrinth is simple to set up, and can be ready in a matter of minutes. It may be used in any setting, for any religious faith, and for any wedding ceremony. Both indoor and outdoor use are possible. An information sheet with suggestions for using the Wedding Labyrinth in your ceremony is available, and covers the walk down the aisle to the Labyrinth, walking the circuits of the Labyrinth, and exiting the Labyrinth.
It isn't possible to reveal in photographs the richness and beauty of the textiles used in our Wedding Labyrinths. However, these close-ups will point your imagination in the right direction. Our Wedding Labyrinths are heirloom quality creations, and their extraordinary beauty really has to be seen in person to be appreciated. They are constructed of only the finest domestic and international materials, and lovingly hand-crafted to the highest of specifications. For elegance, they are unsurpassed.
Not since the days of old have Brides and Grooms tread upon materials of such extraordinary beauty. The configuration of the Labyrinth, which forms a spiritual power center, and the fabrics from which it is constructed, combine to create a sacred ground of beauty and honor for the wedding ceremony.
The textiles and fabrics you see here are a very small sample of the materials we use in our Wedding Labyrinths. Call and talk with Virginia about the range of choices you have, and remember to ask her about getting your own custom designed Wedding Labyrinth.
